Well, now that i understand ur qn, i can answer it
I get ur point, a degree gets u places in Singapore, at least
compared to an ITE grad. There are hierachies in any society which
must be filled somehow. ITE grads just don't cut it and will
forever be looked down on. Thats ur point right?
Let me put it this way. The points that u have brought up in this
forum is mostly true.
Eg: 1) ITE grads are commonly looked down on
2) Degree holders have a better foothold in S'pore society
3) There is hardly any MP who was an ITE grad. (probably
none)
etc etc etc.
But my reading of ur postings led me to form some conclusions about
u.
1) U have very firm beliefs and are not open minded
2) Ur yardstick in life is judged by a person's qualifications
(though u claim that it's society's fault)
3) U have no idea that a person's life is not all about his social
standing or pay, what about personal integrity, humility, gd morals
etc?
Another thing is you mentioned that degree holders are a respected
bunch in society? Yes, maybe to people like aunties. It's very
normal to have a degree nowadays. I don't
even mind throwing mine into the dustbin How i make my money
doesn't depend on my cert. But if one does, gd for him!
Just don't look down on anybody, no one! ITE grads may be in a
lower hierachy but they can have their sunshine too.
